exactly what graphics cards and things make a computer work all games with no lag?
i have a ATI but im not sure which one. and is a graphics card the only thing that determines weather a game will lag or not?
Ok so i just tried the demo for call of duty 4 on pc. its hella tight, but the screen was way to big. it filled the entire screen. then i went into graphics and there was this thing like “800×600″ and like “720×500″ or sometin. i then switched to the 800×600 and the screen was much smaller. Does that effect the graphics at all? cuz it looked much better.
How much does a computer graphics artist make working on characters and scenes for movies or video games for a big company like Microsoft, Nintendo, or Pixar? Assume that the person is very good at what they do.
I am participating in a US Army Cavalry Spur Ride in a couple days. They gave me a list of things that I have to study and one of them is operational terms and graphics that the Cav would use, but they didn’t tell me what any of the are. I have the complete manual of all Army operational terms and graphics but there are about 100 pages with more than 3000 graphics. I was wondering if anyone knew what to focus on.
I have a 3.2Ghz P4 processor with a Geforce 5500 fx 256mb graphics card,dont know about the motherboard.I bought this about three years ago and am considering upgrading .The only game i play is Warcraft,but i wouldnt mind better graphics and smoother gameplay if i can get them.Will it be a good idea to upgrade the processor,motherboard and ram(i currently have 1Gb ddr) if i get a new graphics card?

I don’t know much about computers but I checked underneath my laptop and there IS a removable graphics card in there. I want to play the new WoW expansion that is coming out soon, but my current graphics card is not good enough to play the game smoothly, even with low settings.
I am wondering what some good laptop graphics cards are out there that I can install into my laptop?

I have a Compaq Presario v3000 and I play a gane called Exteel, unfortunately, I lag a lot so I use my mom’s computer, now she wont let me use it cause shes working. I decided o buy a new graphics card that brings the finest to your computer. How much would that be?
The graphics on the 360 and PS3 are comparable to the latest PC games, yet they use graphics cards from 2005/2006. Why is this? And what’s the point of a better graphics card if Forza Motorsport 3 looks just as good as a PC game with the latest graphics card?
I just re-downloaded my sims 3 and Ambitions, but every time I go to play it, I notice the graphics are all block-y and the clothes don’t really load properly. I’ve changed all the graphic settings, but I think its my computer. I have an Acer Emachines. So how do I make the graphics better?
