The graphics on the 360 and PS3 are comparable to the latest PC games, yet they use graphics cards from 2005/2006. Why is this? And what’s the point of a better graphics card if Forza Motorsport 3 looks just as good as a PC game with the latest graphics card?

I’ve noticed that if a game system (arcade system or home console) has the same graphics card as a PC, the game system always shows the game better. Why is that? If you played the same game on a PC, you would have to tone down the graphics.

I have graphics on the highest it can go. Also, I have all of the expansion and stuff packs, minus Teen Style. When I first installed The Sims 2 original game, the graphics were still bad. I can show pictures if needed.
